General Instructions
All papers (aside from plenary and semi-plenary presentations) will be considered as
regular papers. All such papers will be subject to review and assessment by the
Program Committee, who will select a proportion of submissions for inclusion in the conference program. A regular paper must present original, unpublished work on a topic which falls within the
scope of the conference. Regular papers must not be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Essential points regarding regular paper submissions are:
Submission format
Submissions must be formatted according to the detailed instructions according to the
IFAC standard. In particular, they must be no more than 6 pages, and should be typeset in two column format, 10 point Times Roman font. The Latex template can be downloaded
here.
Submissions will
only be accepted in
Portable Document Format (pdf). Hardcopy submissions will not be accepted.
How to submit
All papers must be submitted in Portable Document Format (pdf) as a single file. No other electronic formats will be accepted. Papers should be submitted online using your web browser.
The steps you must perform in order to submit a regular paper are:
Step 1 Follow the instructions for authors to prepare your paper.
Step 2 Generate a PDF file.
Step 3 Submit your paper at the paper submission website.
An accepted submission must be presented at the conference in order to be included in the official Congress Proceedings and to have it considered for recommendation to the IFAC and affiliated journals.
The pre-prints of the conference will contain all the papers presented at the conference which have passed the refereeing procedure of the conference.
After submission
If properly processed, your submission will be acknowledged by email, providing you with a
Paper Identification Number to be used for any further inquiries and correspondence about your submission.
Copyright Conditions
“All publication material submitted for presentation at an IFAC-sponsored meeting (Congress, Symposium, Conference, Workshop) must be original and hence cannot be already published, nor can it be under review elsewhere. The authors take responsibility for the material that has been submitted. IFAC-sponsored conferences will abide by the highest standard of ethical behavior in the review process as explained on the
Elsevier webpage, but see also the
Vancouver protocol, and author information and the authors will abide by the
IFAC publication ethics guidelines.
Accepted papers that have been presented at an IFAC meeting, will be published in the proceedings of the event using the open-access
IFAC-PapersOnLine. To this end, the author(s) must confer the copyright to IFAC when they submit the final version of the paper through the paper submission process. See also
